otp questions: 1-13, only if that's okay olaf & kit pls
Alright, Kitlaf. I can’t currently find the original post, so I am using past prompt fills to do this. Please let me know if there is something else you wanted. I am also splitting up the questions so there is not a super long post.
1.) Who kisses the other on the nose and the one recieving the kiss blushes?
Kit is, in my head, semi awkward in her relationship with Dewey. However, she was very smooth with Olaf. She would often find him sleeping or relaxed or angry and kiss his nose. Olaf would blush and be suddenly very awake.
2.) Who sits on their partner’s lap as they wrap their arms around their partner’s neck?
Olaf. Kit doesn’t like to be approached from the back, so if Olaf needed her attention he would make a loud noise and then dramatically fall over her lap like he was in a soap opera and had just been told a relative had mysteriously died. Kit would respond with an equally dramatic gesture.
She would either put a hand on her heart and the back of the other hand on her forehead before throwing her head back and making a wounded noise. THe other option is she treats Olaf like he is fainting. She grabs the back of his neck and puts the other hand on his cheek. This generally accompanies dramatic wailing and a swift fall from the seat. Bertrand would, for years after, describe some particularly dramatic theatre performances as “Basic Kit and Olaf”.
3.) Who kisses the inside of their partner’s palm before reassuring them everything is going to be okay?
Olaf. He doesn’t use words to reassure, just the kiss. It’s his way of showing he cares the other person is hurting, even if he doesn’t particularly care or understand. Jacques was often injured and Lemony has faked his death many times.
4.) Who initiates the forehead touch™?
I really think this is a sibling thing for the Snickets. I also think that the rest of the generation sort of adopted it as a comforting mechanism. Olaf has initiated with Kit, often to calm anxiety attacks and help her breathing. She’s done it back when he is injured, or that night at the Opera.
5.) Where do they first say, “I Love You?”
Olaf was sent on a mission he wasn’t supposed to come back from. He was, kinda quickly, identified as a person who would burn the world down if it hurt him. To be fair, VFD was correct. But, oh, he was young, barely nineteen, if that. This is actually one of the events that leads to the Snickets, Baudelaires, Quagmires and Fernald generation’s break from VFD conditioning. Which they all did at one point or another. He was sent with a malcontent, who was at most 22, but much bigger and stronger. The entire organization knew what was happening. Worse, Olaf knew what was happening, and he was young enough to be betrayed and not to know how to fight back. Kit caught him right before he left the headquarters through the tunnels. She hugged him until he was pulled away, whispering “I love you, I love you, I love you” He didn’t say it back, until he was in an infirmary bed with a broken leg and smashed cheekbone. She was curled up next to him, head on his chest. He whispered it back when he thought she was asleep.
6.) Who wraps their arms around their partner who is cooking.
Olaf doesn’t come up behind Kit. He’s punched people for doing it. Anyway, they are either dining out or picking up food. They have less than a percent of cooking experience between them. Where and what to eat was a huge contention between the two of them.
