- He doesn’t do it in just one way, it’s more of a mixed bag. He doesn’t text it, or shout it, or write it in a handwritten note for you to find the next day.
- But he’s there, and he wants you to feel it through his small acts of kindness.
- Ren likes to rub your back when you’re laying down, after fucking the shit out of you. He will runs his hands up your spine while your getting your breathing back in line.
- Rubbing soft circles with his fingers, letting you know that even though he called you a bitch and a whore while he was balls deep in you, he values you.
- Ren likes to sit between your legs when you’re on the couch, right on the floor. Allowing you to braid his hair, nudging your hand with the back of his head.
- Purring as your nails scrape his scalp, that way he can zone out while watching the news.
- Sometimes he will clear the dishes, after you spent the day making food for him to come home to. He wants you to feel valued.
- Your favorite memory of him paying you a kindness is when you were having a really bad day. Fucking terrible, your parents had berated you for dating someone so much older.
- Calling you a whore and a slut, that you were a disgrace to the family.
- He had a rough day too, patients were annoying and his brother had called him 169171 times to ask him to bring his girlfriend to dinner.
- Instead of taking his anger out on the wall in the living room, which has evidence of his old tantrums, but he saw your tear stained face.
- His stone heart melted, watching you sniffle and choke on your sobs. He grabbed a blanket, a glass of your favorite wine, and wrapped you up. Cuddling you to his chest, whispering in your head sweet nothings.
- Those sweet nothings were literally nothing, he said nothing about you. It was about his day, that he missed you, how annoying Dona was today.
- And he held you all night, on the couch, the shower, the bed.
- Ren loves you, more than anything in the world (other than his daughter Belle) but you are so important to him.
