Dragon x Beta Fish
The car alarm outside of her apartment made Fuuka Yamagishi wake up all of a sudden. She rubbed her eyes and looked to her clock next beside her: 8:00 AM on the dot. She sighed, rolled out of bed, and rubbed her eyes to get rid of the sleepy stuff in the corners of her eyes. Fuuka walked out of her bed room, her long hair a bit messy as she began to walk to the bathroom, to see how bad she looked. Once she looked in the mirror, two things entered her mind:
I do not look too bad...
but, how come I cannot attract anyone?
She kept staring and brushed her hair, teeth, and began to braid her hair as she had a feeling with what today could be like. So, after checking her phone, she was a bit surprised Mitsuru hasn’t sent her anything to do. With it being a Friday, she was worried that there wasn’t much to do. She then began to make herself green tea as she looked at herself eyeing the calendar as she felt her heart dropped.
January Thirty-first.
And it hit her like a ton of bricks. It’s been 14 years since the day, and yet something weird has always happened on that date: one year Junpei told everyone he was moving out of Iwatodai, another year Yukari and Mitsuru said they were moving in together, five years ago Akihiko proclaimed that he finished college and was going to bounce around police stations if they needed him, and Ken last year stated he was going to move back to his mother’s hometown and start a new life down there.
Everyone was changing, and yet--her eyes drooped down as she realized nothing about her had changed. Granted, her hair grew just like her confidence, and yet she felt trapped. She felt her eyes gaze over at the one photo they have of everyone together, minus Shinjiro, of course. She sipped her tea and closed her eyes.
Why can’t I move on? Do I feel...guilt?
That made her self frown and walk back to the kitchen, seeing a couple text messages from Mitsuru: one saying to keep her eyes on the Phantom Thieves, even though she hasn’t seen hide nor hair of their leader, and the other wishing her a good day and to be safe. Fuuka just simply texted back ‘I will, and you as well, Mitsuru-senpai’. She put her phone down and looked out the window overlooking the small road below her--she was going to stay here temporarily, until she knows the Phantom Thieves are safe and no harm would come to them.
Then again, Fuuka didn’t get to do a damn thing, and she felt herself getting angry. She only does re-con and never gets to fight--she’s always support, which she didn’t mind, but felt left out. A LOT of the time. But, she subdued it and finished her tea as she knew nothing exciting would happen today. Fuuka began to walk back to her bed, putting on some white noise, and decided to try the morning again, later today. Fuuka snuggled under the shirts, wishing she had the company of someone to quit making her feel so damn lonely.
It’s not like anyone needs me this early in the morning, right?
