Was thinking about it and have now seen with proper subs and yeah nah this special doesn’t do any good by me whatsoever. Most plot points from before are dropped, it’s still trying to do new shit up to the very last few minutes, the character relationships all fall apart, there’s zero reason for Ai to ignore Neiru’s phone call, Rika passing on Neiru over being an AI is dumb, Neiru being an AI is dumb, Airu is dumb, all the PU shit is dumb, Ai transferring schools for no reason works against any attempted thematic understanding of this as being about coping with death - it’s all just dumb, stupid, pointless, and a horrendous waste of time. Shinji wrote an anime with all these heavy IRL topics for clout and controversy farming like he always has - he never had anything to add to the conversation. Or Wakabayashi I don’t remember who was criticised for that sort of stuff in the past lol. I’ve had ample time to prepare to dislike this special so in a sense I’m not disappointed at all, but with the initial I guess excitement of the funny bad special having now worn off, all I’m left with is negative feelings. There’s nothing this special does to earn a score any higher than this.
NYPD resuming their state violence against non-violent protests because these protests denounce white power white terrorists relax in their hotel lobby without masks or risk of arrest FBI pretending like they can’t identify any of the coup leaders despite the president being the boss and other leaders posting online about it YouTube just now starting a policy against “false claims” police leaders recognizing white terrorists as their own apparently far-right forums are gleeful but WP is behind a paywall so i can’t read the story Cori Bush introducing legislation to remove House members who supported 2020 election challenges Coup leaders are as politically powerful as the president to the son of a court judge the double standard [in law enforcement] is the point

Having your triggers tagged is a privilege and should never be the expectation.
Let's say you have 100 followers on tumblr. That's low, but let's go with it. If every single one of your followers had one unique trigger, that's 100 potential triggers to check for on every post. Nobody would ever want to post!
I'm all for asking, but when people go around handing out a list of triggers, it comes across as entitled. You need to know your triggers, so you can protect yourself from them, not so you can share them with everyone and have them protect you.
Tumblr is your experience, cater your blog to yourself, but don't get mad when people don't tag.
Personally, I use tags for personal organization, and that's it. I won't be tagging your triggers. My blog has a theme and is catered towards those in recovery from eating disorders, so I will often tag common ED triggers, but that's as far I go.
Anyways, this is a pet peeve of mine.
I used to feel entitled to having my triggers tagged tbh, and it was because of this attitude I got in treatment, where we don't talk about things that trigger people. But the reality is that people do talk about things that trigger people. Such is life.
