Moonshine Peaches

My lips are like moonshine peaches, thirsty and wet and sweet, and I want to eat the sky.

I want to devour a thousand cloud-like fantasies like winters first clean snow melting on my tongue                 (tasteless and vain                  but delightful all the same)

I am hedonism. I am divine, and I am exquisite                  -ly empty.

Hospital

I found myself in that sterile white room, hooked up to beeping machines with cords and hoses.

I’m sure I looked like death, dehydrated and ghostly pale, falling in and out of drug induced sleep while watching cartoons or late night infomercials,

but I remembered my dreams from just a year ago and thought how lovely to not be here by my own hand.

Abi

It’s like sunlight in the darkest room.

She is playing her radiant melody. She is singing and everything is aglow everything is alight.

The crowd is entranced, a room full of tired souls perceiving beauty for the first time in what seems to be the longest time.

She sings and she smiles and this little offered light is just enough.
