It was pretty fucked up how they ended 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd. In the last episode, the dude has nearly done all 100 good deeds, but then he saves Justin from getting hit by a car and gets hit himself. The kid hits his head and wakes up in hospital and finds out his parents had Eddie put down. Messed up!
Justin tries telling his parents Eddie was a kid who got turned into a dog and you think "well it's a typical transformation story, there's gonna be some rebirth thing where Eddie wakes up as a kid again" but no. Justin's family gaslight this kid, thinking he's just grieving that "his dog" is dead and that's it. Way fucked up. Eddie, a human trapped in a dog's body, gets put down, and none of the family can hear him pleading and begging because they just hear dog noises and only Justin could understand him. Probably the most traumatising ending for a kid's show I've ever seen.
