It’s so frustrating to live with a man. I excitedly spoke to my father this morning about the Artemis crew shenanigans and how wonderful it is that we’ve come so far since 500 tampons. And he asked me why it mattered that women were in space, because “the only difference is how they insert the catheter.”
It’s so frustrating to live with a man because he will never know how much damage his words can do. He will never understand how frustrating it is when he thinks that equality means that women’s accomplishments mean nothing. He will never celebrate or acknowledge women’s accomplishments because to him they aren’t accomplishments. To him feminism is an inconvenience.
It frustrates me to no end.
