Tattoo number eleven!
A friend of mine traveled all the way up from Texas to get something from me. He knows how much I love pirates and suggested we do a neat little One Piece tribute. He decided to get Roronoa Zoro's personal jolly roger and let me spice it up a bit with a rose and some leaves.
I really love how this whole design turned out. Using some neotrad floral elements to break up an otherwise pretty symmetrical and clean design felt pretty nice. I was channeling a favorite artist of mine, Kike Esteras, with the rose.
Tattoo number sixteen!
It was so hard to get good pictures of this one. It's a symmetrical design that sits on the front of her shin, so it looks a little warped when she's laying down. But! I'm extremely happy with how this turned out.
Everything but the white is actually healed. We started it a little while ago, but this is a spicy spot and my client ended up tapping out. Finally got to add the white lines to this white-lined sphinx month haha.

a fun little matching-but-not-matching piece that goes along with the other neon opossum i did. besties get bestie tattoos and i love that.
i was really excited to get a chance to do something a little outside my norm. i doodle cartoony stuff all the time but i rarely post it. this was a super fun project for an equally fun client.

i’ve been noodling on tattooing this on myself soon so it only makes sense to use the design to practice.
i’ve been in love with this weird aesthetic of animals with like flowers and stuff growing out of their mouths for a while. i’d LOVE to tattoo some designs like this.
Tattoo number fourteen!
Excuse the wrap on this one. I had a double-ended candle on one of my flash sheets, and a friend of mine wanted a little twist on it. We added a phoenix to the flame as a reminder to never burn out.
I love the depth I got with the colors here. I was admittedly a little nervous about putting enough dark tones in it to contrast all the fiery colors, but I think I did a pretty good job. I also used a blue for the shadows in the candle which I'm obsessed with.
