"Hi there! What are you reading?"
When an angel visits the mortal realm.

The man's in heck and STILL digging himself a deeper hole.
Me, shoving my earbuds in all the way to my brain: this will fix me
I'm like 1k away from hitting 50k hits on Cherophobia and now the question is what the fuck do I do in celebration for reaching 50k
So I have a fever, and it resulted in an actual fever dream where the plot of the first Dishonored game mixes with Warhammer.
Curze has a partner and a daughter. The partner serves as planetary governor of a recently inducted world, with their marriage to a Primarch as a key condition of joining the Imperium. Some time later, the planet's elites begin falling to Nurgle. While Konrad is away on campaign, the cult conspire. They spread plague across the world, then plan to assassinate the partner upon Curze's return and frame both him and the Imperium for the murder. Konrad returns and they strike and time it to one of his seizures so it looks believable. No one will try to imprison a primarch, but the cultists kidnap his daughter and start with the propaganda: "This is what the Imperium does! It lures worlds in, then slaughters their rulers! Only (the old gods') grace spared the child, and we'll raise her properly!" Now Konrad faces three nightmares: (1) distraught self-doubt - did he truly murder his only love? (2) a cult dominating public opinion - exploiting the Night Lords' horrific reputation was never easier, and (3) mounting Imperium pressure to exterminate a world drowning in Chaos - and if his child is compromised they too must face the same fate. Mortarion and Corvus might arrive for "rescue"/"fire support," finding and saving the girl before him. Returning her to Konrad is now a terrible idea. Their brother is halfway through massacring the planet, and he'd hate himself forever for failing again. But not returning her is even worse, for he will turn on them.
No clue where to take it next, but that's the concept.
