You know how we’re wondering why the Master’s all cozy with Yaz?

Of course, Spymaster and that makes sense, involve her in a plot etc.

But maybe recent history shows us, that’s just what the Master does.

Simm!Master starts by spending loads of time with Bill for his plan. Missy actually seems relatively normal towards Bill, not even unfriendly, and clearly did forget about her death. And Missy groomed Clara up as the Doctor’s apprentice from the start. The Master wants someone to have a laugh with, dick about, and have fun with. Has explicitly told the Doctor this multiple times. Maybe a teeny tiny bit of them realises the existence of...other people.
