100-Acre Wood Maple Syrup Year ‘Round!!

Did you know that you can get our 100-Acre Wood Pure NH Maple Syrup year ‘round??!! Just because sugaring season is over, that doesn’t mean that we don’t still have some of our delicious maple syrup to go around. We bottle our syrup all year long and when our Sugar Shack is closed, there are still a couple other ways to get it!

The easiest way is to stop by our BIBLF office located in the 100-Acre Wood just ¼ mile up the road from our Sugar Shack! Office hours are Monday-Friday, 10am-2pm and we carry a variety of different sizes of syrup containers as well as some other maple products!

What a Sweet Surprise!

We are so excited to announce that the 100-Acre Wood Sugar Shack will be OPEN THIS WEEKEND!  In years past, we would wait until we get closer to sugaring season which typically begins towards the end of February or the beginning of March depending on weather.  However, this year, we thought it would be fun to open starting this weekend, Friday, January 8th! The 100-Acre Wood Sugar Shack is located right in the 100-Acre Wood which is beside Route 16/302 across from Town Hall Road here in Intervale, NH.  The Sugar Shack will be open from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  So, whether you are up visiting for a long ski weekend or just cannot make it to our office during the week, you will have more time to stop by and get your maple syrup in person, social distancing and with masks of course! Along with our delicious, pure maple syrup that is made right here on our property, we will also have a number of other maple products for purchase.  From candles to candies to books about the sugaring process or about cooking with maple syrup, we are here for all of your maple-related needs.  And of course, we will be offering warm samples of our maple syrup because there is nothing better than warm maple syrup! We hope to see you this weekend at the Sugar Shack!

The Sweetest Gift!

If you are looking for something sweet for those stockings, look no further than here in the BIBLF office!  We have a variety of plastic and glass bottles filled with our delicious 100-Acre Wood Maple Syrup that can fit in stockings and of course under a tree! With a new batch that was recently bottled, we have plenty of options for gift giving!  We have our plastic gallons, quarts, and pints as well as some glass liter bottles in stock for those who use maple syrup frequently like we do here in the office.  Additional options include pint and half pint glass jugs and of course an assortment of beautiful maple leaf glass bottles, and winter and moose décor bottles.  We also have these adorable miniature glass jug bottles for those who always need to keep a little syrup on hand! Maple syrup makes such a great gift!  It’s not only healthy since it is purely natural, but it’s also delicious on pancakes and waffles, in coffee or even whiskey.  It’s also great for baking and cooking!  Furthermore, there is an added bonus when you purchase 100-Acre Wood Maple Syrup.  Net proceeds from all of our maple syrup sales, go towards Believe in Books Literacy Foundation’s free literacy programs.  Our literacy programs include Books from Birth, Healthy Readers, Outreach Reading, and our Storybook Trail! Each purchase helps us get more books to more children throughout our region! We Love Maple Syrup!

Obviously having a Sugar Bush and a Sugar Shack on our property should give it away, but just in case it didn’t…WE LOVE MAPLE SYRUP!  We were pretty sad when we had to close our Sugar Shack and our office earlier this year to visitors for all of their maple syrup needs. Since then we have been offering our 100-Acre Wood Maple Syrup available via curbside delivery or by shipping directly to homes. Starting this weekend, there will be a new way to get your maple syrup as we will be offering a new Syrup Hut located at our entrance kiosk that will operate under the honor system. With the addition of the new Syrup Hut, we wanted to take the opportunity to share some of our favorite ways of using our 100-Acre Wood Maple Syrup besides drowning our pancakes and waffles in it! So, for example, Michele Wright’s favorite way to use maple syrup is to cook with it.  She not only bakes ham in a maple syrup and brown sugar combination but also loves to marinate and then roast chicken legs with a maple syrup, mustard, and apple cider vinegar mixture. Erin Sweeney on the other hand uses our maple syrup every single day usually twice a day in her cups of coffee.  It is a natural sweetener and takes the place of any other product she would add to it. Shelby Bellen uses 100-Acre Wood Maple Syrup for all sorts of things including baking banana bread and using it as a substitute for sugar in any other baked good.  Nate Sawyer loves to mix maple syrup and brown sugar over carrots making candied carrots! Katie Young loves to add maple syrup to melted chocolate for fondue time with her family. And finally, AO Lucy of course uses syrup daily and adds it to all sorts of beverages from coffee to tea to whiskey or he just drinks it straight from the bottle!
