Fereni is a Persian rice custard dessert. This is very similar to Indonesian bubur sumsum (also a type of rice pudding/custard). I was told the sauce in fereni is made of honey, while in bubur sumsum we use palm sugar (gula jawa). Anyway, I had this in Isfahan and this small stall was PACKED with people.
