WE DID IT! 100 miles and a little less than 14 hours later we completed the 100 on 100 relay race!! I am so proud of all of us--we had lots of PRs along the way, and having a supportive team cheering for you from the sidelines is priceless. Lots of fun, totally sore body today, and I think my toenail is dunzo. Worth it! All in all I ran 15 miles yesterday...so I'm blissfully taking off the next two days to try to let my body re-adjust. Such a great and challenging experience...I learned a lot about running and a lot about myself running. We didn't know how competitive the other teams were going to be (some ass told this woman she "shouldn't bring an axe to a gun show"...even though we TOTALLY saw him walking! But that pushed us to be our fastest. I ran my first leg, 7 miles in 1:01, my second leg, 3.5 miles in 28, and my third leg I think I did in 8/8:30 minute miles (was focused on getting C the vest instead of looking at my time). We flew. And it was awesome. --K
