This furry guy ran the last leg with me. - H
I started running today. A slow run. Felt good to get back at it again. - H
6 miles today in about 7 degrees! We were both frozen from the waist down. Felt great, did it in 56 minutes. Not sure what tomorrow's run will look like--depends how much snow we get tonight! --K
And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. Just signed up for my second half marathon! June of next year! It's starting again!
Can't believe I never posted this but finished my half in 2 hours 30 seconds. A little upset I didn't get under 2 hours, but what an amazing experience!!
Our beautiful view on today's long run--12 miles! Weather was pretty perfect, even a teensy bit hot but not complaining! There were some hills mixed in which made it challenging but in the end I was grateful for them. Going back down the hills I kind of just let gravity do the work. We ran it in 1:55...so I'm hoping to be able to do that pace for the half! Foot hurts now...laying down and icing it for a couple hours before we have to be anywhere! And totally housed an entire box of macaroni and cheese...definitely could still eat more. Nice and easy 2-3 miles tomorrow. Have a great Saturday! --K
New pumped up kicks! Broke these babies in today. Wasn’t feeling my best today…ran 4 miles though. Track workout tomorrow! Where has the time gone?? The half is coming up so soon!
--K
Definitely felt this way today. I haven’t been running and blogging in awhile so today’s comeback run was a struggle. I ran 5.8 miles in 1:04:20 minutes. Legs are tired, but didn’t feel the numbness in my toes.

Haha I love these minions. Foot felt ok today, gonna try for 4 (with hills) tomorrow. Did 3 today in 28:51 and foot definitely hurt after. Can/should I do 11 Thursday?
Going to look up new sneaks now....

Boy, did I ever today!
After our 9 miles Thursday I ran maybe 2 Friday and maybe 2 Sunday—neither were good nor fast. I didn’t even time myself.
So today, when C and I ran the Dogford loop and all its painful hills….it kicked my butt! It was also awkwardly muggy which made breathing a little trickier. Nevertheless, heretofore, we ran the 6 miles in an hour. I’ll take it!
Tomorrow is a 40 minute tempo run, and Thursday/Friday will be easy 4-milers….resting Saturday to gear up for our 10+ miles on Sunday.
Kind of looking forward to not having a training schedule!
But, depending on how the half goes in October, there’s one in Portsmouth in March C mentioned, which could be intriguing.
Nevertheless, heretofore, it’s time for bed.

H & K!
H & P’s wedding was beautiful beyond words. I felt so honored to be a part of it. Just look at how stunning the bride is!!

Long Run
Tomorrow is H's wedding!! I can't wait. I feel like its been so far away and now suddenly it's here (and I'm sure she feels the same way). C and I did our long run today--9 miles--and we both felt pretty good! Finished in 1:26, which was good considering both of our knees were killing us! Good news is our lungs and breathing felt great, bad news is the knees. I am afraid it's old age sneaking up on me. I stretched it out, took some Advil and am now in bed. Waking up early tomorrow to get in 4 miles and finally taking a break Saturday! One of my best friend's wedding showers is Sunday so going to try to get in a couple miles before that. There's only 5 weeks until my half! Did 9 this week for our long run, will do 10 next week, 11 the next, 12 after that and the week before probably only 5 or 6. Only! Ha-I can remember barely being able to run for a minute without dying. Just have to keep truckin'! Congrats to H and P tomorrow! Yay! --K
Haven't posted in awhile, but I've been running!
Conquered these babies today! C and I did 5x400s and then did the bleachers in the stadium...always a good workout!
We took it a little easier today, because tomorrow we're doing our long run--9 miles--because H's wedding is this Friday!! So excited!
Although the 400s were hard (they always are), I didn't feel as bad as I used to after finishing....and my legs aren't shaking anymore!
Oh, and I totally saw a baby black bear cross the road on my drive home! #nature

For each of us, isn’t life about determining your own finish line? This journey has always been about reaching your own other shore no matter what it is, and that dream continues.

Ah yes, those days I run I really do feel less hostile…
I haven’t ran in awhile, in fact the last two weeks I have been a wash because of work, travel and wedding planning. But today my fiancé made me go out for run. I’m glad he did because I really do feel less hostile.

Our beautiful running view today! In the distance you can see the hill we started at...not as brutal as you may think. We did 4 today...pretty quickly in 37:17. We were cruising at the end! It was uncomfortably hot though and we were both pretty sweaty at the end. But overall I felt good...need to do some stretching before tomorrow's track workout. --K
