when life gives you tangerines
I wish I could put into words how I feel about this show. I was skeptical at first because I honestly didn't look much into it but everyone was talking about it and it seemed like a drama based in the past, which I don't mind but it wasn't really drawing me in either.
However, I knew I had to watch it because I love both IU and Park Bogum so I knew this was bound to be good either way. I think this drama is just perfect. I do have to mention that there were parts when it seemed slow so I paused and took a break from watching it but I always came back to it and I don't regret it one bit.
The story is so well told and the characters are so perfectly crafted along with an incredible script and exceptional actors. They're so good at leaving intentional messages throughout the show it leaves you reflecting in a way.
It's such an emotional rollercoaster but it's so worth it, yes I cried a lot. They did an incredible job in casting because you can still feel the connect between the characters no matter at what age they show them and that is what makes it even more perfect and believable. Because, yes this is based on a true story, but if you don't cast properly the storyline can get lost and I don't think it ever did.
I love the idea of following through the parents life when they were younger and then following the daughters perspective, it's just such an incredibly moving show. The only downside is I don't know if I could ever watch it again, but I do know I want to.
I never thought the day I would score this high would come but if any drama deserved it, it's this one.
