$ for Mello? 👀 perhaps some Accidentally Inconvenient Information to send to a stranger by mistake
mello doesn’t make mistakes. well. he does. too often he does except he doesn’t except -- never mind. never mind. the technicalities of accident is irrelevant as mello refutes hindsight. should he have lost his temper when he had heard news that near had made his way to new york ? no. did he ? absolutely. it had been months since he last blown up — & even then it had minor. just annoyance at the incompetence of his pigheaded subordinates. otherwise, there was no need for internal infernal flame. after all, he was on top ( of what he does ) & he is winning this game.
that being said. it’s frustrating to know that he shouldn’t have thrown his phone against the wall when he heard of near’s . . . progression. & he shouldn’t have put off fixing the cracked screen that made it a little too hard to type. namely, when he was sending a text message, he couldn’t see the typed numbers. what’s more — the keyboard’s buttons has a new habit of sticking. or so he thinks; mello can’t actually see what he typed half of the time.
these were the facts. they were annoying. they were frustrating. & mello swears hindsight is all to blame when he realizes ( belatedly ) that the text he had sent to his subordinate. granted the text was written in code . . . it had to be. it was about stealing a damned missile, wasn’t it? but it wasn’t as decipherable as he would have liked. mello doesn’t exactly trust his subordinates to be clever enough to read code.
[ text ] look, the rocketship shit has been set up for 2:00. just hustle your asses underground and make sure the moles are there
isn’t this just spectacular?
