Let’s start from the beginning, January 2020. On the first day of January many were very excited “2020!” this year should be a great year. I am currently a senior in high school so that means only a few more months until graduation. I have always looked forward to walking across stage to graduate. I also am working at Taco Bell I have been at Taco Bell for 5 months and its also my first job. January 2020 was a good month for me I had a good job and had an easy senior year because I finished all my important classes.

Hello! Wide and Wonderful World!

Good morning! Embrace the depravity of man! Get out of bed, and stretch! Take a deep and insightful breath, and ponder, if you can, the fallen and rambunctious state of this world leaping and sprinting toward hell! Prepare yourself for work and make the commute, and consider the broken masses, searching for meaning and fulfillment in every wrong place! Offer salutations and pour coffee at your office, while contemplating the constantly increasing number of individuals who are born, live, and die without coming to know salvation!

The Chipmunk Days

Some days are chipmunk days.

Of course,

these days are almost exclusively

preceded by wisdom

tooth pulling surgery.

Today is a chipmunk day.

Here's to tomorrow being a human 

day.

Goodbye Wisdom

Today I lose my wisdom

teeth. 

I don't know if I'll miss

them.

They're such a pain in my

neck.

Spring Air

Soft spring air all blue-

berries, bees, and buttercups

swirls above my head.

Like a Van Gogh, but

lighter. The rising sun inks

my porch dirty red.

Fall is all about

sunrise and sunset, but Spring

brings mid-morning's best.

Be Faithful in the Little Things

That's my motto for the foreseeable future. It goes hand in hand with discipline, so there's a clear theme to the things on my mind this year. Discipline seasoned with humility -- that's how I think of it. 

But there's also a sense of "live in the moment" to it. Stop daydreaming about what could be and take care of/enjoy what is. After all, who can add a minute to their lives by worrying or dreaming about the future? 

With joy, put your head down and work. And every once in a while, look around to see how far you've come.

A Faithful Man

What can be said and what should be -- 

what will be -- Ah! -- that's the crux of

it all, is it not? Who am I?

Sterling silver dripping slowly

from my ragged pack, the tinkling

mixing mid-flight with passersby's

commentary. What do they say?

"He was. He was -- a faithful man."
