Seven years ago, a sparkly vampire met two apocalyptic adventurerers (Scavengers? Bandits?) for the very first time~✨ #ResidentEnis was pitched twice as a movie/series, first to Legendary Pictures and later to Disney. It never got greenlit partly because Monster Gulch was too ambitious a place to film, compared to— say, an apartment or office. Not enough tax breaks probably, either! 😂 I still adore these characters and would love to see them get a Part III one day. Five years have passed since we introduced our first “human animatronic” to the #FNAFmusical universe! We’d throw her a birthday party, but, er… she’s not big on those… 😅 Everyone knows Miss Bird had no love for Five Nights at Freddy’s (or our spending a year making a series based on it!), but when Gwen’s work schedule muddied her freedom to play the role, Sparrow offered to be cast as Baby instead — and did a pretty spectacular job of it! We assumed the character would have no ties to the other musicals, aside from a proto-Purple Guy cameo… How naive we were to think FNAF could ever be so simple! 😂 One other cool fact: Baby’s song, “Blood and Tears,” was somewhat inspired by Sam Smith’s epic and haunting 007 theme, “Writing’s On the Wall,” which released the same year. “Hi, I’m Phone Guy. Pleasure to meet you.” Today Marks six years since that first phone call, which led to WAY more trouble than I think any of us could have imagined! After all, our animatronics weren’t dangerous. It was all just a silly, five minute video. And how much chaos can a bunch of puppets really cause? 😇 Turns out, millions and millions of views worth. It’s official: FNAF THE MUSICAL ended exactly 5 years ago, and now I feel ANCIENT! 😂 Were you there livestreaming it with us? Did you notice the audio glitch that forced us to re-upload it a few hours (and 80,000 views 😬) later? How many times have you watched it — or sang songs from it — since? We were super crazy lucky to have the perfect storm in our favor: a bunch of famous, incredible actors, a game everyone knew and loved, and a community massively hyped to see where we’d take it. ☺️ If there is a defining Random Encounters project people will remember a century from now, it will probably be this one. 🙂 Of course, there’s been more #FNAFmusical episodes since the series “ended,” and we’re even working on the next one now (you guys have been REALLY patient, and we hope it hits all the perfect notes when you finally see it!), but nothing will replace putting @markiplier and @natewantstobtl in a pizzeria and letting @matpatgt chainsaw through a wall. Christmas songs are usually tricky to pair up with a game or character (especially ones without ‘Knight’ in their names!), but this one felt like a no-brainer! 😁 Happy fourth birthday to our Hello Neighbor Christmas song, “UP ON MY HOUSE TOP!” Good old Mr. Peterson always seemed like a bit of a Grinch, and everyone knows Santa has a reputation for getting into houses undetected… I don’t think any other holiday musical has been a match-up as perfect as this! Oh, and there’s a great kazoo solo in there, too. I don’t know how many Christmas songs feature kazoos, but now there’s at least one. Happy Bendyversary! This little devil’s been giving tours at the Sillyvision Animation Studio for four years now (possibly due to a slight mishap he may have caused five years ago…) I hear he’s working on a(nother) musical episode~ 😈 Encounterers who were shocked and appalled by our lack of a @matpatgt solo in the FNAF Musical were mostly placated by Matt’s musical performance as Bendy (though we agree that he’s overdue for his own song in FNAF…) Isn’t it funny, btw, how both our first collab starring Mark and our first collab starring Matt came out the same day a few years apart?
