Initial Thoughts bought this little gadget because I wanted to be able to determine the effectiveness of products in a more controlled, standard way. Because “it feels” isn’t measurable I knew I needed some science! I began looking for skin analyzers and was immediately surprised by the affordability of these little things. Ranging in price between $10-60 USD, I can’t really think of a reason not to have a skin analyzer. Even if your purpose isn’t to to test your horde of products… It’s nice to know where your skin health is throughout the seasons.

Overall Outcome

This pen analyzer was extremely easy to use. Pop the included batteries in, press the power button. Wait 2 secs for it to beep to indicate it’s ready, press the sensor end to your skin. Hold in place for 5 seconds, it beeps again to let you know its done. Read your results I initially tested it at the end of a long 12 hour shift, I knew (well, I felt like) my skin was dry and I wanted to see what the analyzer said. No guess work needed. The led screen was an angry shade of red with a small frowny face. My numbers indicated I was very dry w/ my oil level reading was 13.2% and my water level reading was 26%. Since then, I’ve been using after each stage of my skincare or when trying a new product.So far it seems to be fairly accurate and on par with how my skin feels.

Etude House BeBe Foot Mask Who doesn’t want softer feet? This girl most certainly does! I got this mostly as an impulse buy… I wasn’t really looking for a foot mask so I didn’t do any research before purchasing. Basically all foot masks promise the same thing: poor the liquid in the bag, leave it on your feet to soak for X amount of time, dead skin peels off In about 2 weeks. So, did it work? Yes. Absolutely yes. My feet felt absolutely no different after the initial soak so I wasn’t optimistic. 2 days later I started noticing little patches that were peeling. Yay! By the end of the week they were in full blown peel mode. Very similar to sunburn peeling. By the end of the second week they were done and much softer. Sensory?
