At 4:30, I tell S I'm going to take a nap. I asked him to wake me up when food was ready for dinner as we'd agreed he'd cook. We normally eat around 5:30.
At 6:30, I wake up to the smell of food. I come out, and there's no food. I go downstairs to check on s, and he's deep in a video game and watching TV. I express that I'm hungry and he instructs me to wait. Apparently he cooked for the dogs while I was sleeping. He keeps playing his game for a few minutes while I stand there waiting. I express that I'm hungry. He pauses his game and turns off his show and starts demanding why can't I cook for myself. I told him we agreed he'd cook. He tells me I'm being really annoying and comes upstairs. He kicks me out of the kitchen while he cooks.
I feel so frustrated. He's making me feel like I'm being brat. But I don't think it's unreasonable to expect dinner at dinner time when we agreed he'll cook. Worse yet, it fucking sucks waking up hungry smelling food only to find out there is no food. I want to cry. But I feel like I'm just being spoiled. I'm hungry. And I forgot to take my meds yesterday, so I'm really sensitive. And it hurts that he's mad at me. I'm trying to give him space but I just know he's going to be irritable and short with me the rest of the evening. So now the whole evening is ruined all because he was too engaged in his video game to remember he offered to cook for me and it was getting late.
