Here’s what families can expect in KL’s super fun SuperPark
If you think parks and playgrounds are for children, it’s time to take on a fresh perspective.
One of the hippest indoor activity park is in town, and it may soon become your favourite family weekend hangout. At the new SuperPark in Kuala Lumpur, no one is too young or old to have fun.
Unleash your inner child at the mega 40,000 square foot SuperPark located at Avenue K Shopping Mall, near KLCC. With over 20 different activities that cater to all ages and fitness levels, there’s bound to be something for everyone to enjoy.
Based on the joy of play and movement, this all-in-one activity park encourages parents (or grandparents!) to let loose and join in on the excitement. Race your kids on pedal car tracks, jump on trampolines, even shoot some hoops in an arcade-style arena. Every activity is purposefully designed for parents to bond with their children, without feeling like a chaperone. Yes, that means you can put those mobile phones aside, get moving and have fun with your kids!
The indoor park has three different zones – the Adventure Area, Game Arena, and a Freestyle Hall. Each section carries a unique set of activities, so you can choose the zone that best suits your style. For young children, the Adventure Area is a great place to start as it boasts the most kid-friendly activities. If you’ve got teenagers in the house, check out the Freestyle Hall, where you’ll find a skate park, obstacle wall, even a free drop area to catapult yourself into a foam pit. Yes, catapult. Those with a more competitive streak can challenge one other at the Game Arena, where scores are kept on digital dashboards. There is even an AI goalkeeper at the soccer corner, so test your soccer skills and see if you can outsmart the bot! Don’t be surprised if your grandmother brings her dance moves to the hot stepper and tops the leaderboard, though.
With 18 parks operating globally including Hong Kong and Singapore, the SuperPark phenomenon is catching on fast. It is the brainchild of Taneli Sutinen, a father whose daughter had asked him to play with her in a children’s indoor activity park back in 2012. Thinking about how difficult it would be to navigate the little playground, he had a lightbulb moment and decided to build a fun and safe environment where parents could play freely with their children.
Staying true to the concept of joyful play, friendship, and better health, all the activities at SuperPark require movement, so visitors to the park will be sure to get a workout, whether they realise it or not. You’ll probably make some new friends too, while you’re having fun.
Since SuperPark is indoors, there’s no need to rely on the weather forecast so you can safely make plans to visit ahead of time.
