A week in the life: Chrissie White December 25, 2016 to December 30, 2016

Today, Romano restocked his house with groceries and cleaned his house. He was very surprised to see a young child come up and hug him when he stepped outside. The child had thought he had died because he had been missing for so long.
“Do you remember... ?”
[...] I woke up, dazed and confused, and I began taking in my surroundings. It was an unfamiliar room, dark with tasteless wallpaper and a bit of an old smell, too. I could hear your soft breathing, the sounds of you sleeping were what filled the room. I guess, I moved a little too much when I turned to look at you because you pulled me closer in a sleepy embrace, burying my face in your chest in the process. It was comfortable for me though. A bit warm, but you were comfortable to me.
It was nice because it differed than our usual heated, sharp interactions with one another.
I had plans (as I always do) for us that day, but I wanted to stay that way for a while longer... because I didn’t know how long it would last. So, I closed my eyes and returned to sleep with the sounds of your soft breathing lulling me...
It’s a little funny and a little sad, but... do you remember when we didn’t always fight? When we could have conversations about our lives, the future, and everything? You told me your dreams of the future. I told you my fears of the past. I guess, we lived in two different timelines that didn’t really sync up. We were opposites in so many ways, yet so like-minded in many others. It was always a push-and-pull with us; and sadly, one day, we just pulled too hard. And, we broke. [...]
