What’s up Tumblr? This is Temisan Adoki. I just wanted to say thank you very much for the support for my music over all of the years. Next month I celebrate a decade on Tumblr, and I wanted to share this mix for y’all. I put this together on the Pioneer DDJ-SB3 withj Serato DJ Pro and recorded it from my apartment here in Denver, CO. A nice blend of some deep house favorites, some tech house, with some minimal classics. I hope you enjoy it all. Haunted House

why did it have to be you

and why did it have to be now

why did it have to be right when I found people I wanted to let in

I've never been afraid of sharing my feelings

but now I'm terrified

I've been keeping you at a safe distance

observing you from the other side of my wall as you politely knock on the door and wait for me to let you in

you wait in the garden

with the flowers and butterflies

and some of the roses have thorns

and there's a few weeds here and there

every once in awhile the clouds roll in and block out the sun

and sometimes there's rain

but overall it's a nice place to be

things are different on the other side of the wall

vines slip past rotting floorboards, covered in thorns

everything is painted in a shade of grey and the lights are never on

the furniture is old and dusty and some of it is broken

the wallpaper is pealing of in some places, exposing old wood

a piano sits alone, half covered and out of tune

maybe you would like to come inside

help me get rid of the vines and repair the walls

maybe you'd like to provide me with warmth and comfort when I feel cold and alone

but I'm still afraid to open the door

maybe if I did the outside would creep in

but I'm more afraid that the inside will creep out

and that's not a risk I'm ready to take
