”WW2 Heritage Paint”
The heritage scheme on the 190th Fighter Squadron, 124th Fighter Wing, Boise, Idaho Air Guard A-10 is designed to replicate the paint as it appeared on the original P-47 Thunderbolt of the 405th Fighter Squadron while the unit was based in Western France in 1944.Tthe paint scheme on the A-10 was conceived by the 124th Fighter Wing of the Idaho ANG in order to celebrate the unit’s 75th anniversary and their lineage to the WWII era 405th Fighter Squadron.

The skies over New Mexico got a little busier as 13 Idaho Air National Guard A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft began a weeklong training exercise at Kirtland Air Force Base near Albuquerque. The 124th Fighter Wing, based in Boise, Idaho, sent more than 150 airmen here to practice close air support and combat search and rescue missions.
