This advertisement from Verizon uses logos by showing the consumer market their coverage area versus their competitor AT&T. By this image it is assumed that the consumer will make a logical decision and go with the provider that has more high speed data coverage than any competitor. In this case Verizon in red clearly has the upper hand by not only showing coverage in all states but in most states they provide near total coverage. I did some research behind this ad and discovered that the subliminal target audience for this commercial was aimed at any personnel/ company that is based upon transportation. With that in mind now it is very apparent that the use of logos is the backbone of this marketing scheme.
