3:15pm, June 30th- Final pics of my trip.. we headed back to the little village and headed to to the rangers station visitors center. They have a giant thermometer there which said it was 131-132 degrees but I guess that one is off because its in the direct sun and the real one is in the back where they do the readings for the park itself which said it was 129.4 degrees max.. but the national weather service said it was 128 at their spot. So everyones different. I think it was hottest at badwater though! anyways there was a ton of people there, maybe about 100.. most people I seen there. Everyone was crowding around the thermometer and going inside. The ranger was very interesting but kinda like addicted to this place ahha. I wish we would had more time to check everything out. It was funny that people dressed up in star wars were there like wookie and darth vadar, I think they have a youtube channel and I saw them running in this weather.
We might have spent almost a hour here though.. I guess the peak heat time is from 3-4pm. We had to go though, because we cant get home too late. We passed the dunes I wanted to go... huge 100 foot mounds of dunes. I have seen pictures of them and they look so cool like the Sahara desert. I just caught a glimpse of it.
One day I am going to return here and check out the whole park, maybe a whole vacation here. I definitely would go when its not super hot so I can enjoy myself more and survive the heat and go on hikes. It was awesome to explore and see the world and my own state. California was so many different regions and I love biology and the history and everything. It is also very nice to spend time with my family :)
