I promised Bub he could stay up late with me tonight and sleep in my bed (Hubs is working away) but I am so tired (even after that nap) that I'm not sure that today is the best day for it. Even so, I cannot break my promise so I will instead be breaking out the hot chocolate and the journalling supplies once Cub is asleep in bed.

The plan is to:

● tidy up the living room (as best as I can with both children still awake) and put up the sofa bed

● wash the dishes after posting this online for absolutely no reason

- also wipe sides, cooker and high chair

- also feed pets

● run a bath for Bub

● put Cub to bed (this could take an hour or so)

● come downstairs with Bub and put the kettle on :)

Got Cub to lay down with me on the sofa at about 2pm and maybe 20 minutes later he fell asleep. We woke up at 5. 5. I feel like I'm on a different planet lol. No idea what Bub is doing, he was playing Minecraft on my laptop when I fell asleep but at some point he put the laptop away and went upstairs. I'm not too worried. He did his learning today and my guess he's that he's on his tablet but doesn't want me to know because he didn't ask first. Anyway, once my cuppa defrosts my brain I'll be making dinner. It'll have to be a late one tonight anyway because there is nooooo way Cub is going to sleep at a normal time tonight 😆

The fuckery. The absolutely fuckery that was last night.

Poor Cub was not having a good night and even when I brought him to my bed he wouldnt settle, and then I ended up in his room at about 4ish giving him another bottle hoping he'd fall asleep but he didn't and I ended up laying down on the floor with my head on a massive Iggle Piggle teddy and two pillows next to me for him. He kept moving and getting up but eventually he laid on those pillows and had a good maybe two hours of semi-restful sleep.

As for me, sleeping on the floor means both my arms went dead and I'm sore from being cold as his cot quilt could only really cover my back. My Nana always said "you'll be fine as long as you keep your back warm" so I tucked it around my top half but my legs and feet were so cold. Cub was fine he had his pjs and sleeping bag on.
