Incidentally I hope Xenoblade 2's Switch 2 upgrade adds multiple save files like every other Xenoblade game on the system has because I want to do like a full game new playthrough where I get to properly engage with all the mechanics again and I don't want to do that on a different Switch account if I can help it you know?
Xenoblade 2 obviously only has the one save file and last time I played I was on a new game plus file that was going through the game but had only made it to Leftheria, and so I decided to get myself set up for the Switch 2 upgrade with like an actual 100% world state file by bumrushing to endgame and making sure I'd done the missable Indol quests as well. And I've done some of that today, just kind of in Tantal atm, fair amount still to do. But I mean as evidenced by screenshots I pulled Agate whom I didn't actually have before, and also I apparently had entirely missed the Herald quest up to this point and so did that to grab her too. Anyway god I forgot how badly this game needed that Switch 2 upgrade lol

hey I didn't notice but she has the 2020s underdye, awesome. This is kinda doing the romance anime thing where main girl falls for main guy in spite of him being a void of personality which is unfortunate, but I'm enjoying Saori Hayami's performance enough to want to keep going. Main guy having like very sincere gay thoughts about his roommate was also fun.
It's been hanging on by a thread for too long. There was even a thread this episode I thought about hanging on by, Yuru's outrage at feeling lied to by even his friends in the village was genuinely good. But it followed so much whatever that I feel like I have to stop doing this to myself. This show isn't even like bad btw, in the scenario where I finish it it probably gets like a 5. It doesn't have anything majorly wrong with it necessarily, I've just not been that entertained by it. Rip.
Sorry that I have to take the easy bait and talk about a fish out of water but yeah the fish out of water elements are fun this episode, and I like looking at this show in general. Buuuuut not the most actually interesting episode otherwise. It feels like the narrative setup is kinda done though so we'll see where it goes from here.
