What I could do:
Call. Maybe he hasn’t received it. Maybe he is busy and hasn’t heard it. I could solve all this really easily if I called.
What I shouldn’t have done but actually did:
Decide that he’s mad at me. Then that he’s forgotten about me. Stay out late on purpose, roaming the streets, going between feeling afraid/sad/angry; spiralling into bad coping behaviours because I am convinced I’ve been abandoned and forgotten and that I’m not important and have to wait until someone realises I am missing before I can go home.
Meanwhile he is in the garden, hands dirty and not particularly worried because i always work late.
I have just caused myself a great deal of suffering for absolutely nothing.
I am an idiot.
I just learned how hard Flip Flappers flopped commercially and dear fucking god did it flop
