Been Awhile, Hasn't It?
A Numberblocks Artist Makes Metal Cardbot OC Without Knowing A Thing About It
To make a long story short: I am a Numberblocks artist, I draw blocks and humans, not bots. Never bots. But my two mutuals @stuffgoestothesoupstore and @inzane101s-place both like the show I think and that's how I know about it.
To make a short story long: Inzane made a cool-looking OC for a show called Metal CardBot. I've never seen it, okay? So I don't know what goes on in it. But I asked Inzane if it'd be neat if I drew an OC without knowing about it, and I got a "Go for it!" (You're so supportive Inzane ily ^^) and so I drew one.
Note I do NOT know what I'm doing, I don't draw robots often specifically because of how detailed they can get... and I'm particular.
(I did a little Geegle search on what they look like so it could be accurate.)
Check it out! *Pathetically throws confettii*
Lemme know how accurate I was! No name yet. Can't think of one. Its a Medical Helicopter tho, since I aspire to be a medic and fly a heli irl!
Lookit That! Another Blue Pen Drawing!
So I left my pencil at home during physics, and I wanted to draw.
Well!
I GUESS I CAN BACKGROUND NOW.. MAYBE??
HA
I just entered Numberblocks fanart in a manga-inspired style artshow at my University. Wonder how that'll be received..
Pssst-! Inzaaaaane!
I doodled a lil' bit of Puppy!Fourteen from your AU!
ALSO I MADE A FLUIDITY TUTORIAL-
So, I was drawing the pictures for this and my friend leaned over and said, "Oh? You drew a line of action?", and I asked him what the heck that is and he proceesed to say it was like some kinda art trick.
And here I thought I made it up, smh 13tlu be more original!
Anyways, to do my fluidity poses I tend to follow the same proceedures I did back when I did my first tutorial for poses. Take into account the character I'm drawing, then draw based on imaginary arrows leading back into the main place.
I'm sure you remember that when I draw introverted characters I would make sure their arms lead back to their body, or at least one limb did that? Its kinda like that with fluidity and naturalness, you want every part of the body to lead into a specific spot, that area you want the viewer to focus.
Seventeen is chillaxed here so I won't worry about keeping one limb close to the core.. anyways, the main part is that when I draw these poses, I draw with an arrow that kinda places where I want you to focus. The focus would just be what is the parts of the body that tell ya whats going on. ie. Seventeen's leg is taking a step, while his back is arched and his arm is up. All this tells you that he's stretching while taking a walk of some sort. This is where I want you to focus 'cuz it tells you whats goin' on.
Every part that branches off from the main arrow is something I try to lead back to the main arrow. His fingers angle down and curl. His foot angles up. His arm angles towards it, while his hand on the other side angles back the other direction.
Same with Thirteen here. Its subtle, but most curves lead towards the arrow. Which bends to show he's leaning. But the arm running perpendicular has a sleeve on the elbow that rounds the edge out, and the hand slightly curls to also run back.
That's basically how I do natural-looking poses and fluidity! Can't wait to see what you cook up in the future! :D
Just some things I've been working on, all Numberblocks..
Uh... hi...
I just want to say thay I've seen your artwork in Wattpad, and I love it. 😊
