One 🍎
One’s design is HEAVILY inspired by the Little Red Riding Hood. Other significant features of her outfit consists of circular elements, ranging from her skirt (semicircular ig but the cut y’know??), her shawl, and the top-side of her shoes!
One’s hairpin is also their numberling, their hair resembles her block form, and they share a friendship bracelet with Two.
I’d also like to think that her handwriting is elementary styled like those from the penmanship practice books I had (both print and cursive).
Two 🍊
Two’s design is the most easiest to conceptualize, and funny enough, he takes some resemblance from Blippi, in which my lil’ brother religiously watched recently 😅
Two’s ahoge (a lil’ hair sticking out) is his numberling, same as his whole hair, semicircular elements all around (eyebrows, overalls front pocket, and collar). Also shares a bracelet with One (although her color doesn’t fit him like her does)
I was planning on giving him a more formal look for his main outfit with the pants and bow ties, but I figured that it’s more of Twenty’s gimmick instead.
Three 🎪
Why no yellow 😭
Three’s outfit is inspired by Pomni from Tadc since they have that jester aesthetic. Also, she’s the first that I drew, and I originally wanted to make a fanart of her.
When it comes to her numbers and shape motifs, hers is really prevalent since her official design has that already, and then added more to her hair, ruffles, face paint, and skirt.
She tiptoes so she can look taller than Four mueheheh-
Four 🟩
The absolute HARDEST to draw. I had to have a least 5 drafts of his design before starting. Oh well! Anyways, I wanted to give him another outfit since the jackets are way too overrated, BUT once I.. let’s say.. rewatched the older episodes, I saw his 1x4 form and decided.. why not! And then used that concept on his jacket strings.
Since this dude is crazy obsessed with squares (I don’t blame him honestly, squares are mathematically blessed), I gave him an unshanka, square pants, and combat shoes (since they can look square too). Same as his strings, I made his hair dreadlocks.
His overall vibe is.. well.. I haven’t really planned a lot on his outfit but it does seem like he has that cadet trainee style.
Five ⭐️
Five is one of the quickest to draw out of all of them! She has lots of amazing concepts to add, like her numberling resembling a tear on her pantyhose. But too bad I scrapped it ehhe, might reveal in my doodles soon to let you guys see the vision.
I actually opened my brained for this.. her hair is literally resembling her numberling!! Her body type is also, in a way, resembling a star.
She has that rockstar gf aesthetic frfr (during performance, it’s going to be alt rock bcs she’s just cool like that)
(previous way I was drawing was taking too long so I'm moving on to somethin slightly more loose!! Might not be as visually pleasing but I like it!!!!lots!!!)
Hc seven as an EARLY morning person with three being the closest thing to that so very occasionally,,, he just ends up dragging her around when it's barely light outside when everyone else would reasonably not respond to a knock at their door during witching hour.
When I was about to post this I realized that I've just been stream of consciousn-ing for the past like 10 minutes,,, making this post unbearable to scroll pass so,,

Unlike a certain someone She actually just!!! Is really good at tracking time and I really didn't expect that!!!!!
I guess that coincides with my interpretation that she tries her very very very best to "take control" of her environment but it was almost always to her detriment!
Though,,, I suppose her schedule being packed, concise, and all over the place did end up with her losing a juggling ball and frantically back tracking to not be late for practice.

Let's talk about Number Rescue Go
When I was watching series 8,,, I was sort off in a daze of HYPEHYPEHYPE NEW NUMBERBLOCKS!!!!! NEW NUMBERBLOCKS EPISODES!!!! but it all sort of,, dissipated during this episode?
I enjoyed the new episodes don't get me wrong!!!! But looking back, I realized this first half of series 8 might've been rushed out due to demand? Or the budget might've been placed elsewhere (wonderblocks, the newer learningblocks- ermm "blocks universe" show, and of course the Numberblocks-Colourblocks crossover! Or possibly the second half of series 8)
It really showed itself in this episode! The animation is very off! Not necessarily the actual movements of the characters,, they're onpar with the previous series, it's the set design, composition, and lighting!
Please look at this frame... This is the flattest composition I've ever seen for a later numberblock episode! And you genuinely can tell that this entire episode takes place within the smallest possible rendering area with as LITTLE PROPS they could get away with!
"Lucky for us the party's next door" yes,,,how lucky of us that we could just place the building as close as possible to the rescue base
Why is there one tree??? Scratch that,, why is there one tree shadow in the frame?
Again! Flat background! ONE TREE!!
The lighting for this entire episode I'm pretty sure is just the basic dispersed light that takes the quickest to render. It's very grey today in numberland. The only exception is the final frame since it takes place during sundown AND YET!

Wow more tha—ignore how scary three is—wow more than ONE TREE!!!!!! Yes they're rougher quality but the background isn't EMPTY! Give them back their bushes and flowers!!!! Does this entire episode take place in a clearing?

This one's a personal gripe, but I don't enjoy the pacing of this episode,, not one bit! It is very fast! Though I understand that's the point so I won't really call it a result of a time or budget issue,,, or even an issue that needs to be "fixed"
Each episode has to fit within the standard 5 minute allotment AND the lesson to be taught is how quickly a child can recognize the addends of a number.
Completely normal!! I am the one with the issue!! (<easily overwhelmed by quick scene changes)
Well,, at least this episode gave me More THREE AND SEVEN INTERACTIONS YAYYYYYYY
