Saw the AC 141 fanart you reblogged then immediately think about that animal crossing crack theory post here somewhere about humans being in extinction so the animals are keeping you safe in the island, and they're entertaining you with human enrichment activities they think you might enjoy. They might be misguided at times (the loan stuff), but they mean well. And that also explains why they cheer when you move their houses around bcs they think it'll keep you happy. Also, multiplayer is when they arrange a play date with other surviving human(s). T'was the greatest thing I've read this week.
So yeah, imagine COD AC shenanigans where you're the human, and 141 are your island inhabitants who never ask to leave the island.
the art in question
"Moved my bloody house again," mutters Ghost one afternoon, sulking on a beach chair beside Price as they (ostensibly) fish.
"Mm," hums the lion. "Mine last week. Better get used to it."
"Was by the river," the bear continues to lament. "Could hear the water while I was sleepin.'"
Gaz trundles up to join them, setting his box of fishing tackle down. "Sorry mate. Just saw this morning. River's filled in where you were."
Ghost sighs, very long and very loud, and slumps back in his chair. He longs for a beer, but Price had insisted on no alcohol on the island. It made humans screwy and weird, and increased their mortality ratings exponentially.
"I'm sure it ain't for no reason," Price murmurs. The line twitches, but nothing actually bites.
"Last I saw the human was burying a bag of money," says Gaz, extending his own fishing pole. "Not sure there's much of a reason for anything they do."
A low whir, gradually increasing in volume, interrupts the quiet of the day; the sea plane lands by the pier, and Wilbur hops out, followed by an extremely familiar horse.
"No," Ghost moans, "not that bloody numpty, please."
Soap catches sight of the group, brays excitedly, and runs down the beach.
"Fancy seein' you lads here!" he exclaims gleefully. "Heard there's room for me here from your human!" Gaz, the only one really excited to see him, throws him a high five.
"I want to leave," mourns Ghost.
Price snorts. "Good luck with that."

Roach : *softly pets Soap's mohawk* Since when did you carry a squirrel on your head?
Soap, annoyed : Alright, he's drunk. Let's leave.
I actually can't stop thinking about your writing on AC 141, it lowkey got me playing again. When I got back on New Horizions, I found out that I had 300,000 bells in debt give or take 50,000 or so from an expansion on my house. Also I just got the Abel sisters' shop so I can finally get pretty clothes, yippie!
Enough about me, Nikolai is the pilot that flies reader to other islands, while Laswell is the one that mans the desk at the airport, only because she has other jobs and a wife. Blathers is the same because I love him like a cherished family friend.
I imagine that the boys were initially alarmed when reader started catching and holding all of these sharp and/or venomous animals with her bare ass hands. While they've learned that reader never really gets hurt doing this, it's still a little scary to see her running around at all hours of the night and day catching creatures to either give to the Museum or sell.
At least reader gives them very thoughtful and genuinely nice gifts, many of them handmade.
Anyways, those are my thoughts that have been plaguing me, and you can have them.

Gaz wakes early to a beautiful morning on the island. The sky is a rich, vibrant blue, playing host today to towering formations of pastel clouds, and the temperature is just low enough to suggest that the heat won’t rise unbearably throughout the day.
Gaz brings his coffee outside with him to sit on his front lawn and admire the day ahead of him. The human had gifted him a lovely wood swing recently, which he finds ideal for days just like this, where he can sip something warm and enjoy the breeze, and the sun on his face, and the scent of the garden springing up around his house that the human is cultivating for crossbreeding purposes.
Out of everyone on the island, you seem to prefer him at the moment—Price tracks your activities, whose houses you spend the most time on, who receives gifts the most often. It had been him in the beginning, and Gaz had initially worried that the old lion might be jealous, but Price had only smiled at the notion when the wolf brought it up and pointed out that he had been the only animal there, after all.
So Gaz is free to enjoy your attentions unimpeded by guilt. He’s watching the butterflies flit idly among the heavy spring blooms, inhaling the steam of his coffee, when he hears a low hum somewhere northwards. Maybe Nik jetting off along the archipelago, on his way to pick up another islander.
Then, Soap comes galloping up, running at a breakneck pace, and Gaz hardly has any time to relax before he yanks open the front door of his house.
“Bees got the human,” the horse throws over his shoulder briefly before barging inside.
“What?” Gaz demands.
Soap emerges again, a bag of medicine between his teeth. “Bees got the human,” he repeats, and sprints in the direction of the humming.
Gaz sets down his drink and runs after him. Sure enough, in the copse of trees on the north side of the island, they find the human, sitting on the ground beside an abandoned hive, one eye swollen closed and looking very sorry for yourself.
“Shaking trees again, are you?” Soap says cheerfully, hiding his concern away so as to keep you calm.
The poor thing nods, tears flowing from your one good eye. “Sometimes money falls out,” you say.
“Got to be faster with that net, ken?” the horse says gently, getting to his knees and opening the bag.
As Soap applies the medicine and does his best to calm you down, Gaz makes a mental note to talk to Price about the goodies he hides to keep you entertained. It’s important, of course, that you always have something to do, Gaz agrees with that, but maybe they should mitigate the risk of bodily injury.
Even if only so the rest of them don’t have a collective heart attack when you get stung by something nasty again, if for no other reason.

Bonus: Gaz told Soap
Throwing my hat in the ring to cast tf141 in Fallout.
Price is a veteran NCR Ranger who saw both the first and second battles of the Hoover Dam as a young man. Following the collapse of the NCR he roves the wasteland as a sometimes bounty hunter, sometimes do-gooder when his conscience gets the better of him. He is haunted by the decline of the country he served, the country he believed in, knowing he had no power to save it. He is in the first stages of ghoulification, and is struggling to feel like there's any point prolonging the process.
Gaz is a former vault dweller who came to the surface, against the wishes of his fellow dwellers. He learned of the NCR and the progress it had made reestablishing the trappings of civilization, and left his home behind to fulfill his entire vault-dwelling purpose. Price keeps him from getting shot in the first settlement he stumbles across, and he's been tagging along with the old-timer ever since, trying to figure out what to do now that Plan A is a crater.
Ghost is a knight in the Brotherhood of Steel who is notorious for working alone. He comes from a family of wastelanders, which met its grisly end after the sins of his raider father caught up with him. The Brotherhood picked him up when a patrolling vertibird caught sight of his family home burning down, and found him standing in front of it with a lighter in hand. He isn't what you'd call a fanatic, though; he just likes to know where his next meal is coming from.
And Soap is Ghost's first-ever squire. Soap is a former NCR Ranger recruit who ran off when he saw the writing on the wall of the nation's decline, fully intent on joining the first organization he could find that might actually stand a chance of "saving" the world. Too late after joining did he realize the scope of the Brotherhood's goals, and the limited aid it was willing to offer civilians of the wasteland; he languished as an aspirant for years, with nowhere else to go after the bombing of Shady Sands, until Ghost handpicked him to be his squire.
No idea what their whole story would be, but I envision, after a series of wasteland shenanigans, Ghost and Soap leave the Brotherhood after a boiling point. They encounter Price and Gaz several times, and after more shenanigans, and Price's half-hearted-to-passionate proselytizing the values of democracy, they party up permanently, and Price realizes his dream of creating his own team—ranger squad 141.
Gaz: what shall we do with a grumpy captain? what shall we do with a grumpy captain? what shall we do with a grumpy captain? Early in the mornin’!
Soap: fuck ‘im in the arse while his girlfriend watches! Fuck ‘im in the arse while his girlfriend watches! Fuck ‘im in the arse while his girlfriend watches!
Both: EARLY IN THE MORNIN’!!
Price:…
Price: you’re both fired.
Ghost:…They aren’t wrong. That always works for you.
Price:…Wife.
Gaz: what shall we do with a shitty L.T. Wha-
Ghost: THAT’LL DO!
Soap: HOO-RAY UP HIS BUNGHOLE!! HOO-RAY UP HIS BUNGHOLE!! HOOOOO-RAAY UP HIS BUNGHOLE!!! ALL THE WAY UP HISSS GUUTTSSSSS!!
