Since I wrote hc’s about the other monsters, Galian is quite simple. He’s the family dog. He acts like a dog. He’s friendly towards people Vincent likes, but will still bite your hand off if you mess with him too much.

Day 3 - Gas Leak

Yes yes YES!! I’m really excited and really bad at explaining things, so forgive the absolute infodump I’m about to give you.

To set the scene: let’s pretend Chaos didn’t return to the planet after Dirge of Cerberus, and that Vincent lets he/them/it linger and have some time controlling the body.

Chaos is a NUISANCE (/affectionate). He’s loud, obviously chaotic, but also crazy smart. He has a sharp sense of smell and hearing.

Despite me calling him smart, he acts like he isn’t. He can speak in full sentences, but he chooses not to because he sees no point. He’s quite literally a goblin of a creature.

You know Vincent’s calculus in Rebirth? I hc that those numbers were Chaos’s doing. And due to his math smarts, he frequently checks (and argues with) Cid’s numbers. He’s best friends with Shera because he likes how thorough she is, unlike Cid.

Since Dirge, Vincent lets Chaos out more frequently for ‘enrichment’ so long as he doesn’t destroy anything. He’s met the whole crew, and is very vocally opinionated about them (to Vincent’s dismay).

And don’t ask why, but he likes fruity margaritas and his favorite movie is Mean Girls.

Sorry for being so late to the Requests and Arts bi-week, but can I ask you to share some of your headcanons about Death Gigas? Before Rebirth-Galian Beast, he was my favourite Vincent's transformation, now the second best!

Day 14 - Death Gigas

This is INSANE timing because I just finished my artwork of Gigas LMAO

Anyway! I’m vigorously shaking your hand anon, Death Gigas is the most forgotten and ignored monster of Vincent’s and he needs some love too!

I feel like Gigas is one of the most tortured and misunderstood monster of Vincent’s. His transformation is the most painful because I feel like he’s Hojo’s biggest failure.

He’s stitched together haphazardly, rotting, and has rods uncomfortably sticking out of his body. He can’t speak well, and he doesn’t really know how to express himself.

In this design in particular I kept his blond hair because it’s just so unusual, and I think that fits very well. He also wears steel knuckles rather than a gauntlet due to his blunt melee abilities.

Quite like Frankenstein’s Monster, he’s innocent and curious. He’s the sweetest monster of the group, but severely underestimates his own strength. He likes the outdoors and nature, and he likes listening to Cloud and Co. banter.

Unfortunately he’s also very unstable, and acts on fear and rage quite frequently if he’s provoked.

He’s protective over Vincent and his friends, and hopes to one day be able to hang out with the group.

His relationship with Vincent’s other monsters is a bit rough. Hellmasker thinks he’s a meathead, and Chaos terrifies the poor guy. Galian is… Galian (the rambunctious ‘family dog’). Vincent however is most sympathetic to him; I like to hc that Vincent’s sidequest speech in RB about monsters and emotions also partially pertains to Gigas.
