John, Paul and George arrive at Le Bourget, Paris, on the 14th January 1964, ahead of the start of their 18 day season in the French capital. Travelling with them were Brian Epstein, Mal Evans and various press. Ringo had been in Liverpool and was unable to join his bandmates due to heavy fog grounding his plane. He and Neil Aspinall arrived the following day, before the Beatles first show. John, Paul and George were greeted at the airport by 60 fans and French press.
There were more fans waiting at their hotel, the George V. Paul and John shared a suite at the George V as they planned to write several songs during their stay; 6 for the forthcoming Beatles film, one for Billy J. Kramer and one for Tommy Quickly. A piano was brought to their room so they could work.
