Ritsu had always been a bit odd, socially speaking. Of lethargic nature, he didn’t cared much about what most people found exciting or interesting. As the vampire he was, he usually preferred to escape from the crowds and into some good napping spot. For a long time, Valentines was one of those many events he would receive with a sort of grimace.
To get chocolates from girls just proved to be annoying, the heavy burden of someone’s feelings making it awkward to receive them. At least that meant free sweets, he somehow patted his own shoulder as he carried the bags of candy all the way back. At least it wasn’t as bad as it was for Secchan or even for his stupid brother.
He never gave things on white’s day either. How could he when he could hardly remember the faces of most of those girls?
However, things were different now.
He was grateful to Secchan, if he hadn’t asked for some assistance in making candy for the date he would have let it slip. Something he wouldn’t appreciate considering he had someone to spoil with sweets in such a romantic date.
He was also glad he got some good experience baking and making sweets under his belt, as grotesque as some of them might look when Secchan didn’t helped decorating and shaping them up.
After a long afternoon of making chocolate, they both had successfully fulfilled their original plans. Izumi had some fancy chocos to give to Tori-chan and Ritsu had his present… the multiple attempts he made to get the right flavor turning into giri-choco and tomo-choco he would hand over afterwards.
The first and most important one, was of course, for Jyushimatsu. He had made a really, really big chocolate for him and he wasn’t going to go around college with that.
Both hands occupied in carrying the slightly heavy and quite voluminous box he made his way to the Matsuno’s apartment. Unable to take his hands of it for fear to make it fall, he knocked with his feet and waited for someone to open up. It’d be preferable if it was Jyushimatsu but, if he had to deal with one of his brothers… he would.
He was lucky to have his boyfriend open the door for him, a soft smile appearing on his own face as he handed the box over.
“Happy valentine’s day Jyu-kun. This is for you.” He sure hopped Jyushimatsu would like it.
Inside the box, an oversized baseball ball of pure chocolate filled with all sort of other chocolates. Heart shaped, ball shaped, star shaped, bat shaped. They also have different filling and covers. Cream, sparkles, peanuts. Anything and everything. A whole fest of chocolate for his boyfriend to enjoy. Now that he didn’t had the box affecting his movements, Ritsu reached forward and patted the cheek of his boyfriend, a tender kiss left over those lips.
