Why does she have this nagging feeling that she’s being…followed? The mage turns behind her for a bit, but there was no one there. Maybe she’s just being paranoid. She could get in severe trouble once someone were to find out that she’s been mingling with a ferocious beast such as a dragon. The redhead just brushes the thought off and proceeded down her path.
As soon as she feel far enough from the kingdom, Kobayashi stops to sit on a large smooth rock, looking up to admire the starry night sky as she waits for Tohru to arrive. Taking a moment to enjoy the night time ambiance is just so peaceful, it really helps give her a nice break from the busy kingdom.
She then hears a roar from a distance, and the wind suddenly began to pick up. Hazel eyes finally spots her large and scaly friend descending before her.
“Sorry to keep you waiting!~” Tohru’s voice rang in her mind. Kobayashi shakes her head, reaching up to place her hand on the dragon’s nuzzle. “It’s fine, I just got here.”
And then they just began to chat the night away. Unlike Tohru, Kobayashi didn’t have anyone from the kingdom that she can talk comfortably to like this. The dragon seemed rather curious about humans and their culture, and the mage was happy to just answer whatever she was curious about her kind. of course, Kobayashi would ask Tohru about the dragons as well. she learned alot of things that weren;t even written in the text books, not just dragons but magic in general. Tohru would also help the redhead in gathering ingredients for her elixirs, Tohru’s knowledge was of great help.
A roar filled the air, making the very ground tremble -and of course, the trees he was trying to hold onto as well. Body tensing up, he looked up for any trail of the beast -was it coming closer as he had expected? If that was the case he needed to rush to the aid of the sorceress -not even her would be able to deal with such a beast on her own. In fact, he had already moved out of cover and was taking his run towards them...
However, his worries proved themselves pointless when the dragon stopped in the ground, and lowered their head for the sorceress to... pet it? What? And just like that they started talking. Or well, the sorceress was talking... and he guessed she must be getting some kind of response...
So he just stopped there, absolutely confused. The beast was a dangerous one, so he should probably slay it anyway. But the Sovereign Sorceress had always been reliable... had she betrayed them? Or was the dragon using her? There was no point in trying to guess when he could barely understand the situation, so he stepped forward and cleared his throat, his sword ready if it became necessary.
“Sovereign Sorceress! I came here to slay a dragon and I find what seems like betrayal... I believe you own me... no, the Kingdom, and explanation." it wasn’t terribly clever of him, as in a fight with both of them he wouldn’t be able to win. But he wanted to be chivalrous, as expected from a prince, and he trusted her... she had been a part of the palace since he remembered... like a member of his family.
