oh my god i was so distracted by the rest of 14x06 that i forgot to ask. the spaghetti taco. is there lore? was it one of those things where they told jensen to make some food and he just got weird with it? did they tell him to make a taco and gave him spaghetti as a prank? was it all an accident? the only way it could have been better is if it was a hot dog taco (mystery spot callback + maximum bisexuality)
i really love how dean and jack's relationship develops in 14x06. it feels like dean treats jack like a person when more often we see others treating jack as a weapon or a pawn. sam and cas have both checked in with jack this season but it's mostly about his grace or how his boxing with bobby is going. or to scold him for going to visit the klines. dean doesn't talk about his powers. dean talks about human things, but not in a way that screams "you're human now and you must be okay with it." more like "here are some things you should know." and jack is smart enough to know what dean is doing, but he's not upset by it. i think he just likes being treated like a person.
god it is really really REALLY loud that cas isn't in this episode huh
sam is really fucking lucky that this charlie lives because if he talked two reluctant charlies into returning to hunting and got them both killed? i'd find a way to make him pay.
and if i said this is just like telling dean he can't be a hermit in his room. and if i said this is because sam doesn't want people to leave him, thereby somehow invalidating(?) his choices. other people can't not want to hunt because sam wants to hunt. and if sam wants to hunt then other people must want to hunt. and if they try to get out it's because they're deluding themselves right? (also, the fucking nerve to say this to someone who's been fighting for their life nonstop for the past decade)
"you ever read a romance novel?" oh my goddddd jack clearly hasn't but their plan is a romance novel plan which means dean clearly has. box full of paperbacks stashed under his bed hidden underneath decoy porn to keep sam away
