JOIN FILM SOCIETY, BECOME A PROJECTIONIST!

If you'd like to become a Film Society projectionist, we're holding trainings at 6:30 in Collins on Friday, Sept 20 before a screening of Benny & Joon and Saturday, Sept 21 before a screening of Away We Go.

No need to RSVP, just show up on time!  If you can't make either of those dates, email me and we'll set up another time!  It's a small commitment (two showings a semester + a one-time half hour training), but it earns e-board's eternal gratitude and an invite to projectionist appreciation night!

Please join us for a presentation by Dr. Edward Ayers, President of the University of Richmond [more about President Ayers]. Wed, Sept 18, 12:30-1:30pm in PNW 212, a reception will follow in the PNE Atrium.

In the torrent of writing about the role of technology in higher education few commentators mention the creation of new knowledge. Should the scholarship that embodies scholarly knowledge, that at once defines, circumscribes, and conveys new scholarly thinking, alter its form and substance in the new digital world?
