The NES Classic Edition is just hitting store shelves again this month, but when I picked up my own last year I was having a heck of a time finding a suitable second controller.

So, before the Super Famicom Mini was even a twinkle in Kimishima's eye, I found one that (at the time) I thought would be fairly unique: A Super Famicom styled Wii Classic Controller!  Since that's all that the NES Classic Edition controllers are, it seemed like a no-brainer!

Well, time makes fools of us all, which means sadly I was right about the "no-brainer" part... :/

Yeah so I'm cutting the 16-Bit Summer short. I got Earthbound for free from Club Nintendo and just couldn't get myself through Secret of Mana. I just had to play THIS.

Blu's Favorite VGM Tracks - #1: Secret of Evermore Theme

Just about every track on the Secret of Evermore soundtrack is nostalgic in some way for me. It's a truly haunting listening experience that is totally unlike anything else on the Super Nintendo. Jeremy Soule absolutely nailed it in every way and delivers a solid soundtrack all the way through, where each track - be it musical or environmental ambiance - fits the setting perfectly and really immerses you and makes you feel part of this bizarre world full of giant man-faced snakes, hippo frogs and toaster dogs.

The title track is my absolute favorite.
