16 MAY 2024 || THE FLEMING INITIATIVE : TACKLING ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE CONFERENCE

The Prince of Wales attended the conference celebrating global efforts to tackle antimicrobial resistance and build stronger health systems, food security and climate resilience.

The World Together Solving the Antibiotic Emergency Conference was part of a roadmap to a forthcoming High-Level Meeting on antimicrobial resistance at the upcoming UNGA Session.

The attendees heard the experiences of survivors of antimicrobial resistance. William attended the event in his role as the Patron of the appeal to establish The Fleming Initiative which will include a Centre located at St. Mary's Hospital.

Finally, the Prince of Wales gave a short speech at the event and later hosted a private reception at St. James' Palace
