With girlfriend drama ending almost immediately and Hirose opening up to Nakamura a little more before the two get to genuinely hang out for the first real time, this was a very cute episode and a great way to end the show. And it kinda needed it, because yeah unfortunately this second half of the show was otherwise losing me really. Manga signing episode was great but outside of that + this final episode, nothing was really doing anything for me. Show lost its energy and I was just enjoying it less. Not that the first half was like amazing btw but it was good fun so. 6 feels fine. This is a cute romcom with lovely presentation and as someone who doesn't read a lot of manga so doesn't see much variety in their yaoi something like this is a nice change of pace. Also I didn't meaningfully process this until literally the last episode but Hirose kinda looks like my cute twinky coworker I have a crush on lmaoooooooo
this was the current mugwatch btw and I kinda kept procrastinating it because I knew I wouldn't be into it and I mean yeah
I mean yeah tbf I suppose in a series as scientifically minded as Dr Stone, even with its shounen manga exaggerations, the only way to really explain that inciting incident is just aliens. I like the aliens enough tbf, always thought it's boring when aliens are just glorified humans from another planet so a sapient mechanical parasite that loves radio but hates oxygen is fun and unique. Excited to see how it all comes to an end next week. Although I know the manga has a few like bonus epilogue adjacent chapters, nothing long enough for a movie but I mean Dr Stone anime might not actually end here you know?
