Watch this. Hopefully it'll change your life 😎 #180south
The fear of the unknown is the greatest fear of all
Yvon Chouinard
180° South
Such a rad documentary. Great sountrack too.
You get all these high powered plastic surgeons and CEOs- they pay $80,000 to have people put all the ladders in place and fix ropes. You get to the camp and you don't even have to lay out your sleeping bag, it's already laid out with a chocolate mint on top. The whole purpose about climbing something like Everest is to effect some sort of spiritual/physical gain, but if you compromise the process you're an asshole when you start out and you're an asshole when you get back.
Yvon Chouinard on climbing Mount Everest
This documentary completely changed the way I see myself in the world. You should watch it too - it's on Netflix. #180South #inspiring #outdoors 180° SOUTH is the story of one of the most unique and prolific environmentalists of our time -Yvon Chouinard. Rather than re-living Yvon's story through old photos and his life's work with pie charts, 180° SOUTH weaves Chouinard's tale through a modern day expedition. A young American adventurer named Jeff Johnson happened upon lost footage of Yvon & Doug's 1968 trip in 1990 and spent the next ten years of his life dreaming of following their footsteps south. In 2007, Jeff dropped everything to finally fulfill his dream. He set out to follow Chouinard's classic route on what became a six month traverse of North and South America. http://click-to-read-mo.re/p/43Ct
