Man with a felt top hat on his head. He wears a redingote with an overlap over long trousers of 'nankin'. Gusseted gaiters. Further accessories: knotted neck scarf, pocket square(?), gloves, walking stick, square-toed shoes. Holding the hand is a boy with a 'casquette polonaise' on his head. He wears a redingote of 'casimir' over long trousers. Ball in hand. The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, Paris, 1797-1839.
