Japan was My Dream and My Reality
The first time I met a Japanese is when I was in 2nd grade of elementary school. His name is Taki san. Taki san is my father’s friend when He was joining a training program for almost two months in Osaka.
Taki san came to Indonesia to visit the company where my father worked. My father take care of him during his visit. He gave me kaleidoscope and hime doll. As a kid, I was easyactually untill now! From that time, all my memory was set: Japanese is kind!
My father also oftenly took my family to Japanese restaurant. He made me and my brother crazy about Japanese food since We’re small like a pea lol. My tongue always knows: Japanese food is tasty!
That’s why Japan is the first country I always dream to visit.
During high school, I made friend with a person who always wants to study in Japan. He poisoned me! He made me want to study in Japan too.
So, He changed my Japan-to-do-list. I want to travel and study in Japan.
Fortunately, my University has annual exchange program to Japan. But...but...it’s only for Neurosurgery. During clinical class like pediatric, internist, eye, etc I almost got A in all subjects, except: Forensic, Surgery (Friza causing this!), and Neurology. I only got B. Neurosurgery was something I always afraid of. I think this science is the most difficult science in all medical field.
However, I kept coming to the after conference of the student who came back from the exchange year by year. I didn’t know why. I just wanted to know them and their activity. In the deepest of my heart, I wanted to be like them. But I was shy to say that even to myself. There’s so many smart people who wanted that opportunity.
But at the time my batch was given chance to join the selection tests, I can not stop thinking to join it. I was forcing my brain to think what kind of study I should do to survive that test because I only have 2 weeks to study. Not only that, I also need to think about economy things I should prepare for this opportunity. Money is not an easy things for me though. But people around me knew that I wanted to try. They supported me.
Then I challenged myself.....
Then Japan was my dream.....
Then Japan was my reality.....
Then Japan is my home.....
Then Kagoshima is one of the safe harbor I have in this round earth (I am not a flat earth society believer).....
Then I want to tell you more about my 183 amazing days.....
Let me tell you.....slowly.....
Whoever you are.
Oh oh oh! I found brothers and sisters of my kaleidoscope hahahahah!
