The Beatles photographed outside the Royal Albert Hall on 18th April 1963. This was the first Beatles appearance at the Albert Hall, topping the bill for Swingin Sound '63, a concert broadcast by the BBC. The Beatles performed Please Please Me and Misery during the first half, but neither song was recorded or broadcast. Twist And Shout and From Me To You from the second half were broadcast live.
After the show, Paul met Jane Asher for the first time.
