lew landers' The Raven (1935) ~ 4✨ ~ lugosi and karloff just can work together, thats for sure. the characters seemed weaker than in The Black Cat but the ending here was much more intense and satisfying, especially (spoiler) lugosi's death. once again, an incredibly loose adaptation of poe's the raven and the pit and the pendulum.
