t-rfoids give gender norms way too much credit like i'm a transmasc who hasn't gone through any kind of transitioning and is seldom out but at my first job i got he/him'd by customers coming in constantly even when on days where i was wearing earrings and chokers and other "feminine" accessories who seldom "corrected" themselves and one time i walked into a walgreens and when i got my stuff and reached the cash register the guy working there told me he thought i was a man because of my flannel.

i still self-isolate so much. like, i can go 4 more than a month w/o talking to my closer friends. don’t want 2 be like this lmao;; 

i guess it’s time to make a belated new yr’s resolution.

i need to remember that it’s a matter of health to talk to the ppl u care abt & that self-isolation is sth i need to actively resist when i’m not feeling great abt myself, as it's basically emotionally self-harming. (also talking to my homophobic parents - even though they remain important to me - more consistently than to lgbtq+ friends /rly/ can’t be great for my mental health.) aside from myself, there’s the health of my friendships to think abt. ok.

belated new year’s resolution: message (or call) 1 friend every day, even if it’s just to talk rly briefly.
