Soft breezes carry cries upon the air; stagnant stories broken, lost throughout time, whispers arguing everything is fine, that life, however bland, seems strangely fair. Splinters of a past drift without a care to the open fields and the tangled bine; twisted, caught in the thick and sickly vine, strangling the gnarled oak’s tombs left dead and bare. But, within the mountains, there you feel free; fragments form fresh pictures loved and longed for; the past becomes a wanted memory, no longer empty, crying out for more.
