200 Follower Event: 1920s
Manhattan: You know everything is kinda great right now? Like the economy is booming , Jazz is all the rage, all five of us have been together for a little over 30 years now, we just won a war, there’s like this renaissance thing going up in Harlem. I mean if we just casually put aside the fact alcohol is illegal now (oops) , organized crime is on the rise and they exploit the poor and immigrants, there’s an extreme conservative backlash, very prevalent xenophobia and racism especially directed at African Americans, Asian immigrants, and immigrants from southern and Eastern Europe, oh and the rich are just getting richer while the poor remain the same. But whatever right? There’s this flapper style, speakeasies exist, and hey women can vote- well I can’t vote…Anyways I’m fabulously wealthy (and so is Tony, the other boroughs not so much), and I’m having a good time!
Ok so, this event is gonna kinda work like my last one. I’ll have this last about 10 questions. Every 2 questions, there’ll be a little short comic type of thing (I can’t promise a full one, just since I am starting my first year of college and I can’t promise how fast I’ll be able to respond since I need to figure out my own schedule).
