this is the oldest news ever but i never get tired of following the progression: the jump from with the beatles to a hard day's night is insane. the jump from help to rubber soul is like. atmospheric? the jump from rubber soul to revolver in sheer terms of technology and physical innovation is pretty unparalleled. and then the next album is pepper?? fucking sergeant pepper?? i'm not even the biggest pepper girlie but even i can admit that it might have been the most mind blowing needle drop of the decade. a day in the life and all that. and i don't necessarily mean that it was the most mind blowing album of the decade but like the most mind blowing first listen. like 66-7 are crazy years to be doing all that
